ABOUT
SHED STUDIO

Design Language & Philosophy

Shed (https://outoftheshed.in/Shed Instagram) is a multidisciplinary design practice that thinks through making.
While function and form act as primary pillars that they design and ideate around, their true motivation derives from the pursuit of fun.

Through its products, Shed propagates a slow and joyful living in the midst of our chaotic, fast-paced  urban lifestyles. It urges one to pause and spend time to experience the stillness, to look back at the analogue and rediscover the wisdom of bygone eras by re-presenting it within our context.
The studio expects to treat each project as an experience for the curators as well as the clients, rather than treating them as just objects.

Refrain from using any external hardware such as nails and hinges, to keep the sanctity of the materials preserved. The studio pushes the idea of having sharp sense of enquiry and restless curiosity. To take it as a challenge to come up with alternatives for design details that could easily be achieved through external hardware/tools.
